“ That everyone who prophecies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement, and comfort.” 1 Corinthians 14:3
“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my spirit on all people.” Acts 2:17
So, I think Mike and I agree that this is probably one of the coolest days of our lives! GOD was totally present! Let me start from the beginning…
Today Mike and I met for lunch to finish the skits to share with the kids in Cambodia. The start was awesome. We were just sharing about our weeks and what God had done in our lives recently. Then we started on the skits… it was a slow start. We had to find our groove. Then it seemed like things were just working against us. We kept trying to find a working plug for the computer. After moving to several different spots in the restaurant we learned that the outlets didn’t work; so we decided to leave and go to Starbucks. When we got to Starbucks we both felt distracted by having to switch places so many times at the restaurant and then locations all together. We were feeling slightly defeated. Then this GOD thing happened. We were sitting there finishing up the story of Noah and his Ark, when this gentleman approached our table and asked to sit with us. He said he felt compelled to share a prophecy with each of us individually and some thoughts for us as teammates. The following is a paraphrase of what he said to Mike and I (This part is broken because we were typing it as he spoke to us but you’ll understand…)
For Kira:
compassionate heart, missionary other countries, with kids specifically, teaching, singing;really love to worship, real healing hands, compassion for kids, almost like a nurse, digging a deeper well in Kira, went through tough times, enemy is always coming against us - only to strengthen you, "you are not always in the desert place", you are in battles to get strengthened, you gain authority in winning those battles
you walk in the gifts - cast out demons, raise the dead, heal the sick, greater things than these you will see and do, still able to do what Jesus did even in this sinful state, you will walk in the gifts (not metaphorically, but actually), will be taken out of comfort zone - God is out of the box,Lord will take care of you, will provide for you,you have been building faith, things will be harder, but you've been strengthened, lean on God, see from his perspective, the places you will go are enemy strongholds, you will bring the light, you = purity; white gown, When peter was on roof and he came down, I have made clean what was unclean, your past is your past, purity - holiness - righteousness
For Mike:
I see you have real love for the word; you’re in there and you zone in and the lord has shown you things that alot of other people don't get, you read scripture a few times and all of a sudden it hits you and the Lord is like” you like that? Wait and see what else I got for you.”, I see you as a preacher; NOT a pastor, the Lord is going to call you to step up to the mic, there will be angels with you, I see the holy spirit with you, when you speak they will be released, you have such life in you that the Lord has put there, and freeing people by speaking into them and to them; it's a one step deliverance, you speak scripture to people, freeing people through speaking scripture and physically healing them, there is almost a generational gap right now and there's a generation the Lord specifically wants to use you for and I feel like the Lord has given you some education and I see you getting more in depth with that.. maybe ministry school and I see the depth of knowledge increasing and increasing, I see a picture of a race car.. and the Lord has got you on a fast track. He's going to fast track your education… no four year thing. I feel like the Lord has put a real passion in you. I think the race car also speaks to your sense of adventure to bring the saving knowledge to others and you can have the saving relationship with God that Adam had. I have heard that the Lord has heard your concern about your family and as much as you love them you haven’t even touched the depths God has for them. God has angelical encounters taking you to a new level.
For Both of us:
Anything you ask for you will receive. Ask and you will receive. Heaven is at your disposal.
After this encounter Mike and I were both speechless and overflowing with words. It was AWESOME! Words cannot describe the experience or the feeling of that moment. Afterwards, we both took some time reading over what we had written down from our prophecy. It was overwhelming, awesome, exciting, intimidating, and scary all at the same time! I think we were both experiencing such an array of emotions. But it is EXACTLY what we needed. We were able to finish ALL of the skits for the kids and it put such a joy in us. I think we will both have smiles plastered on our faces for a long time after being in the presence of God today… and ALWAYS!
God is mighty to save… and God is MIGHTY!!!!!
Until next time…
Joyfully His,
Mike and Kira

Lions and Whales and Giants... oh my!
29 August 2009
“Yours O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom, you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all.” - I Chronicles 29:11-12
These are the words that we (Mike and Kira) kept in mind as we prepared the curriculum to bring to the kids in Battambang, Cambodia, in December. Our goal in the words and scripture that we share with these children is to glorify God. If you don’t know, our REALLY AWESOME theme is GOD’S TEAM! The stories that we intend on teaching and sharing with the kids are Daniel and the Lion’s Den, David and Goliath, Noah’s Ark, and Jonah and the Big Fish. Some of the Christ-like qualities that we are hoping to instill in these kids are faithfulness, obedience, mercy, love, and so many more.
At our last team meeting, we (Mike and Kira) volunteered to prepare the entire curriculum. This preparation involves drawing up the narration and skit dialogue and the layout of the skits. So on Saturday (8/29/09), we got together and man was God with us! We made a huge dent in the prep work. We completed 2 of the 5 skits completely and already scheduled our next meeting to finish up! This is SO exciting!:)
Until our next update, please pray for our team, that we continue to remain unified and glorify God through everything that we do. Pray for the children of Cambodia, that they keep their eyes on the Lord and that He protect them from whatever struggles that may be facing right now. Pray for the leaders of New Life that they too keep their eyes fixed on God and are glorifying him too. Please pray that at our next meeting (Mike and Kira) is as productive as we were this meeting.
Thank you so much! Until next time…
Joyfully His,
Mike and Kira
